1. Parties and scope
Lyzard Connect is provided under the Lyzard Works brand. Product rightsholder(s): the Lyzard Connect product rightsholder. The controller(s) that determine the purposes and means of applicable personal-data processing: the Lyzard Connect product rightsholder operating under the Lyzard Works brand. These Terms govern use of the website, coordinator, Update API and other Connect network functions. The software licence is governed by the EULA.
2. Age and authority
You confirm that you are at least 16 years old and may accept these Terms yourself, or use the service with a parent or guardian where local law requires it.
3. What Connect does
Connect provides voice and video calls, screen sharing, chat, file transfer and related features. Its architecture is direct-first: infrastructure helps participants discover each other and negotiate a route, while data travels directly between devices when the network allows. If a direct route is unavailable because of network restrictions, the connection or individual features may be unavailable.
4. Room codes
You decide who receives a room code. Do not publish a room code publicly unless you intend to let others join.
5. Acceptable use
You must not use Connect for attacks, unauthorised access, malware, spam, unlawful content, infringement or other activity prohibited by applicable law.
6. Your content
Rights in your messages, files and other content remain with you or the relevant rightsholder. You grant only the technical permissions required to transmit, route and deliver content for the feature you choose.
7. Updates
Connect may check for updates. A release may become mandatory where an older version is insecure, protocol-incompatible or unsupported.
8. Availability
We aim to keep Connect available, but networks, devices, external providers and maintenance can affect availability. Features may change for security, compatibility and product development.
9. Intellectual property
Connect software, original graphics, logos, design, text and documentation are protected by applicable intellectual-property law. The Lyzard Works and Lyzard Connect designations are used by the project rightsholder. Absence of a registered-trademark symbol does not grant permission to impersonate the official product, website or service.
10. Restrictions
Infrastructure access may be limited where there is a reasonable indication of attack, abuse or material breach, to the extent needed to protect the service and users.
11. Mandatory user rights
Nothing in these Terms excludes rights that applicable law does not allow to be waived by contract.
12. Liability
Liability is governed by applicable law. To the maximum extent permitted, the service provider is not responsible for losses caused by external networks, third parties, device misconfiguration or use contrary to documentation and security requirements.
13. Law and disputes
applicable law, subject to mandatory rules that apply to the particular user applies unless mandatory rules for a particular user require otherwise. Before litigation, the parties should where practical attempt to resolve the issue through support@lyzardworks.com or legal@lyzardworks.com.
