The built-in check calls the Lyzard Connect update API, sends the current version and receives the latest published release metadata.
Step by step
Open About or the update-check action in Connect.
Select Check for updates.
If the version is current, Connect reports that.
If a newer version is published, Connect shows its version and update action.
