The Connect home screen has a dedicated seven-character room-code entry. Enter the code and submit the join request. The join completes only after the room owner approves it.
Step by step
Open Connect.
Enter the seven-character room code in the 3-2-2 fields.
Select the join-room button.
Wait for the room owner to approve the join request.
