A session is not a data source
Connect is built to connect people, not to build user profiles. This is the short version of the privacy model without legal overload.
No account is required for the normal room flow.
Connect is designed around temporary rooms and short join codes rather than a mandatory public user profile.
Session content does not become analytics.
Voice, video, screen content, chat and file contents are not used for advertising, profiling or Connect product analytics.
The coordinator sees only what is needed to establish a connection.
Connection setup requires limited technical processing. Product analytics are designed as aggregate counters rather than persistent user or room profiles.
The direct route comes first.
When the network allows it, data travels directly between devices. Connect does not currently provide a relay route; restrictive NAT, VPN or firewall rules can therefore make a session unavailable.
Product metrics stay aggregate.
The coordinator can report aggregate connection attempts, successful connections, connection time, reconnects and grouped failure reasons. The metrics model does not use user IDs, room codes, IP addresses as analytics identifiers or communication content.
